Returns

Thank you for shopping with Car and Kitchen. If something isn’t right, you can send it back. Here are the main points; the full details are in our Refund policy.

Christmas returns

Most items bought between 1 November and 11 December 2026 can be returned or exchanged until 10 January 2027. Anything bought from 12 December 2026 has the usual 30 days.

Our 30-day returns window

  • Online orders: return within 30 days of receiving your order for a refund or exchange.
  • Shop purchases: exchange or credit note within 30 days of purchase. We don’t refund shop purchases unless the item is faulty.
  • Faulty items: full refund within 30 days of receiving them, including sale items. We’ll cover the return postage.

Our 30-day window is longer than the 14 days you’re entitled to under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Your statutory rights are not affected.

What we can accept

Items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging, with labels and barcodes intact. Please include your invoice or receipt. We can’t accept returns of personalised items; earrings and other pierced jewellery unless the sealed packaging is unopened; cosmetics and hair accessories unless they’re in their original packaging; perishable items such as food and magazines; or sale items unless they’re faulty.

How to return an online order

  1. Email web@carandkitchen.co.uk to let us know it’s on its way.
  2. Fill in the returns form on the back of your invoice, with your order number, phone number, reason for returning and whether you’d like a refund or an exchange.
  3. Post it to: Car and Kitchen, Market Place, Settle, North Yorkshire, BD24 9EF.

Return postage is at your cost unless the item is faulty or we’ve made a mistake. We recommend a tracked service. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 3–5 working days of your return reaching us.

You can also bring an online order to the shop with your invoice for an exchange or credit note. For a refund, please return it by post.
